B&B Moerkantheide is a holiday farm with 8 twoperson-gastrooms.
Our B&B is the ideal place for family or group of friends.
Espacially cyclists and walkers come to visit our beautiful area.
Essen is located in the north of Antwerp, near the Dutch border.
In this wooded area are "de Wildertse duintjes" and "de Horendonkse bossen". Followinng are the 5 beautiful natural areas around Essen: "de Kalmthoutse heide" on 4 km, "de Ruchpense heide", "de Buissche heide", "de Wouwse plantage" and "de Maatjes". On 500 m, there is a sports and walking park with tennis courts and anathletics track, there is also an tourism office and "het Karrenmuseum" (a museum with old horse-drawn carriages).
The "Oosterschelde" is on 20 minutes by car. There is also a bowling alley at 5 km and a ski slope on 12 km.
